DOOM 3 VR Edition is the first official means to play the 2004 shooter with a virtual reality headset, even if the history of this port dates back nearly a decade, and not without its fair amount of controversy. That said, this is likely one of the best examples of VR game design, even if the majority of its production took place over fifteen years ago. The problem is that it's been possible to play DOOM 3 in VR for years, and very well. Will Bethesda be able to beat the community at their own game?
