As promised I braved the Canadian winter to bring you guys my impressions on the Kalman filter running on my semi-beat up F4 and F7 rigs.
I am pretty happy with Kalman, seems like a step in the right direction but I am going to say that right now it probably won't blow anyone's socks away. Lets see how it evolves with time.
I apologize for some of the noisy video - that is not the Clearview's fault - I was using my goggles at home to test some stuff and forgot the RX module turned on.. so both were trying to feed video to the goggles.. my bad!

As promised on my last video, here is the flashing & tuning guide on Betaflight 3.2.1 - this is a quick video, I am not going to go into a ton of detail on what each setting does and its historical provenance. I am just going to show you guys how I Flash and set up my quads before the maiden.
Tuning the quad is a whole separate matter and should be done out in the field after a couple test flights.

Either way, if you run bleeding edge Betaflight ( daily builds ) its good to get in the habit of manually updating the configurator. If your configurator already says 10 then you are good to go.")

Hey guys! Finally got some time to do some research and bring you guys some fresh tasty info. Looks like FRSky is working on a new RX protocol to deliver RX Control and TELEMETRY over a single wire connection.
F-Port is structured much like SBUS is except it uses an uninverted signal - meaning you dont need to fuck around with inversion anymore to get stuff to work. You also get Telemetry and control out of a single port which is pretty awesome.

Hey guys! I am back posting some HD footage - I finally managed to get the 6 Hyphy with F80 motors to tune properly and not give me so much jello.
This weekend I went out with the rig and flew over the snow, conservative flight - didnt really feel like leaving the comfort of my car to go fetch the drone and I had limited range on the taranis since I am inside a metal cage.

Enjoying this unexpected little bit of nice weather to practice a bit of racing before the nasty winter settles in. Just improvised a track out of the terrain and actually had a blast. Using low trees as gates seems like great practices so I will definitely be back again =D")

Ripping the Hyphy 6 over the new years - way too friggin cold to fly too far from the car. About -30c which meant flight times were about 2 mins at the most and trudging through snow to go fetch a drone was not on my wishlist!
