Contact, aka door, sensors can be used for much more than just doors and windows if you're creative enough. If you're anything like me, then you have probably purchased some of these when they've gone on sale and have a few extra lying around. Using these on a garage door is surprisingly easy when paired with the secret ingredient.... a hinge! In this quick video, I go over how I installed the sensor on the hinge and how it works. Enjoy!
