Do you need help to render hair? This technique works every single time!
Don’t try to figure all your light and shadows perfectly from the start. There’s room for experimenting!
For me it’s more useful to have both sides of the light spectrum laid out like this rather than detailing one of them from the start. It helps making wiser choices to shade everything. You can then refine both at the same little by little so in case you mess up a little, you still can make adjustments without redoing the whole drawing.
