Ive tested the best mid-range Android phones in 2026, using them as my full-time handset - so here's my favourite now, offering top gaming performance, excellent battery life and the greatest camera experience for a decent price. My summer 2026 pick of the best mid-range smartphones includes Google's Pixel 10a, Xiaomi's 17T and Poco X8 Pro Max, Samsung's Galaxy A57 and the Nothing Phone 4a series. Manufacturers like Nothing, Samsung, Xiaomi and Google all offer a selection of flagship alternatives at a mid-range phone price in 2026. The Pixel 10a is still one of the best for camera fans, although the likes of the Vivo V70 aren't far behind. Meanwhile the Nothing Phone 4a and Pro are two of my favourites, offering solid value for money.
My top pick of the mid-range mobiles for summer 2026 includes the Poco X8 Pro Max, which is stunning value for money. As long as you don't mind Xiaomi's HyperOS, that is. I've also reviewed the OnePlus Nord 5, which is a downgrade in some respects vs the Nord 4, but still a cracker in many respects. And if you have a bit more cash to spend on your phone but can't quite afford the OnePlus 15, try the OnePlus 15r!
