*Connecting Multiple Batteries* - Using the provided CAN cable, plug it into the CAN port on primary battery (master). Connect the other end to the Victron (Blue) port on the second battery. *NOTE: CAN-bus communication on Version 1 batteries are not compatible with CAN-bus on Version 2 batteries*. Here is a workaround. Mixing V1 and V2 batteries will require a separate Victron Smart Shunt to monitor SOC. If your Cerbo GX supports two VE.CAN ports, then configure each battery as a stand-alone battery, then connect them to VE.CAN 1 and VE.CAN 2. With this workaround you can still access the BMS data for each battery from the Cerbo and Victron VRM. The SOC will be reported by the Smart Shunt.
