They better protect your ears with their open-ear design, allowing you to hear all of your surroundings while using them outside. They are also very comfortable on longer rides.
The audio quality is much better compared to bone conduction headphones, which can be very difficult to hear when it is windy outside or if you are cycling fast. With the Oladance earbuds, I have been able to listen to my audiobooks and music clearly in all conditions, including when it's windy.
