Today was all about making memories with my son.
We loaded up the Scania and headed to Midwest Truck Fest hosted by Dickerson Custom Trucks, where we entered the truck show, checked out some incredible custom rigs, watched jet-powered dragsters tear down the track, and even made a few passes with our drag racing Dodge pickup.
But the highlight of the day wasn’t any of that.
My son brought along his miniature remote-control cabover semi truck and spent the day cruising it around the showgrounds like he was one of the big truck owners. We even put a truck show number on it and let him be part of the action. Watching him enjoy the trucks, meet people, and experience the event through his eyes made this one of my favorite truck show trips yet.
Sometimes it’s not about the horsepower, trophies, or racing—it’s about spending time with family and sharing the things you love with the next generation.
