We take a look at the law at diminishing returns as applied to EV car purchase and reducing the duration of a trip of 1000km. The more you pay for your EV the more you’re likely to get close to the duration it would take you with any petrol/diesel car. But there are plenty of appropriate options in the £20k - £30k range, and at a stretch you might consider you could find sub-£20k might be good enough for the occasional long trip too.
