Indie Drums is our third drum library from Somerville Sounds, following Soft Drums and Mallet Drums. Tight, dead, punchy, and hit with sticks. Purpose-built for singer-songwriter, folk, and indie rock music.
I sit down with drummer and multi-decade friend Joel Cameron to talk about how and why we made yet another drum library. I use it in a track, Joel shares a small amount of his infinite drum knowledge, and we dig into what makes these drums different from everything else out there.
Recorded with four mic positions (Close, Overhead, Room, and an all-new hyped Kit mic), Indie Drums includes a core kit NKI, a Loops NKI with tempo-organized grooves and fills, and a Multi-Out NKI for full DAW routing.
