The first in a new series of videos where I bring together my fascination with CGI, Props and Cosplay.
In this video, I catch up with Joe at Tyges Supplies (the place I get all of my prop and cosplay making materials from). We talk about all things foam and painting, Joe helps explain the difference between EVA floor mates and the differing types of high density (HD) Foam on the roll.. We also look at the awesome Flexi Paint which is just the job when you want a beautiful hard-wearing finish yet still flexible, Flexi filler and metallic pigment powder!
In 2019 I made a fully wearable Iron Man mk4 suit of armor out of foam floor mats and Flexi Paint and wore it to Comic-Con in London! This was the first time I have ever done anything like this but I absolutely loved it. Since then I have been learning about Cosplay and Prop making techniques and materials! I have expanded my 3D modeling activities into creating 2D plans from my 3D models, these can be printed on paper and traced on to 'EVA Foam'. The foam can be cut, heat-formed, glued painted and weathered!
