Welcome to Catsuit Cooking — the series where your first meal makes you feel sexy, confident, and FAVES-focused… not weighed down by processed food.
Today we’re making my FAVES-Focused Cheese Grits — a whole-food-forward, comfort-food breakfast packed with onions, garlic, butternut squash, mushrooms, and a little dairy-free cheese to keep things creamy without the guilt.
My goal?
To help you replace your processed breakfast with something that helps your waistline, boosts your confidence, and still tastes like home. 💛
And YES — I’m doing it in a cheetah-print catsuit because confidence is a morning vitamin. Take yours.

✅ Cheese Grits RECIPE
FAVES-Focused Cheese Grits (Nurse LaQuita Marie–Style)
Ingredients
1 onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup butternut squash, chopped
1 carrot or 1 parsnip or 1 cup rutabaga (your “cheese color” enhancer)
Mushrooms (optional topping, cooked separately)
Plant-based sausage (optional topping, cooked separately)
¼ cup nutritional yeast
Handful of non-dairy cheese
Liquid aminos or coconut aminos
Water
Grits
Optional toppings: avocado, lettuce shreds, green onions
DIRECTIONS
Cook your mushrooms first
Sauté them in a dry pan or with a splash of water.
Remove and set aside (this keeps your cheese base bright and golden).
Cook your plant-based sausage
Place the sausage in the toaster oven or air fryer while the vegetables cook.
Chop and set aside for topping later.
Build your cheese-like vegetable base
In the same pan, sauté onions, garlic, butternut squash, and your orange veggie using a little water + liquid aminos/coconut aminos.
Cook 5–7 minutes until everything is soft.
Blend the base
Puree ONLY the squash, onions, garlic, and carrot/parsnip/rutabaga.
This gives you a bright golden, creamy “cheese sauce” without the mushrooms darkening it.
Add grits + water
Pour the puree back into the pan and add water and grits.
Cook until thick and creamy, about 7–10 minutes.
Finish the pot
Stir in nutritional yeast.
Add non-dairy cheese until it melts smoothly into the mixture.
Top and serve
Add your mushrooms or sausage on top.
Add lettuce shreds for crunch (trust the process!).
Optional: avocado or green onions.
This meal keeps whole foods outnumbering processed ones — the VeggieVixen Signature Ratio.
