Reviewing the best budget smartphones for Summer time 2026 in the UK, for an price of around £300 or under, from big names like Poco, Xiaomi, Motorola and more. You can see my full reviews of these budget friendly phones here on Tech Spurt, but here's a run-down of my favourites right now, including some special deals and discounts!
Xiaomi is one of the best options right now if you want solid hardware on the cheap, serving up a buffet of affordable smartphones in 2026. The Redmi Note 15 series is some of its freshest fare, while you can also grab the impressive value Poco M8 pair if you want top battery life.
Motorola also offers a wide variety of handsets for under £300 in the UK. If you're tempted by a more stock Android phone experience, check out the Edge Fusion 60, for instance, or G77. Moto even offers a £100 super budget smartphone option in the G06 Power, which has some of the best battery life of any phone out there.
Sadly some of my previous recommendations for best budget smartphone are no longer available in the UK. This includes the Nothing Phone 3a and OnePlus Nord 5, but you may still be able to pick up refurbished models.
