The Genmitsu Kintix 10W is one of the most unusual laser engravers I've reviewed. It's a hybrid galvo design that uses a single galvo mirror for the Y-axis and a standard linear rod for the X-axis, all wrapped in a Class 1 enclosed package for under $500.
