You are looking at an old dam that was built around 1900 to power the Tucapau Mills and the community of Tucapau now named Startex. It was built on the Berry Shoals Lake and operated till around 1959. The second part of the video where you see me standing is going to be part of the Tyger River Foundation where you will be able to put your Kayak into the lake. I was truly amazed when I came to the dam and learned about some more history here in Spartanburg South Carolina. I hope you enjoyed the video and I welcome you to subscribe :-) GrandpaJake
