From the Waldbühne Berlin 1995 "American Night":
Excerpt of the Berliner Philharmoniker, under the baton of Sir Simon Rattle, performing "Candide Overture" by Leonard Bernstein.

Voltaire wrote his book "Candide ou l’optimisme" in 1759, where he promotes skepticism and pessimism. On this basis Bernstein wrote his opera "Candide, first performed 1988 in New York.
