In this video, I sit down with Filippo from Acqua dell'Elba to explore the real ingredients behind the Mediterranean Collection fragrances. Rather than simply smelling the finished perfumes, we're smelling many of the individual ingredients that helped bring these fragrances to life.
From juicy pink grapefruit, orange, lavender and jasmine to marine notes, Calabrian bergamot, sandalwood and cashmeran, this is a rare opportunity to experience some of the building blocks of modern perfumery and discover how they contribute to the final scent.
We also discuss the development process behind the collection, working with perfumer Luca Maffei, and what happens when individual ingredients come together to create a finished fragrance.
