Super excited to present part of Benson Town, written by B C Manjunath and Ned McGowan . It happened few years ago during my visit to Amsterdam where we composed this literally in the kitchen of Ned’s home. The process was so organic and intuitive which made it so natural for us to compose something which was not forced at all to become a piece.
Here we are playing just the beginning part of this composition and I love the blend of Contrabass flute and Mridangam. I am so convinced that both these instruments are meant to be played together.

We are extremely happy to present this composition and many other compositions composed by myself and Dr Mysore Manjunath, Ned McGowan, Kristina Fuchs as a learning process to see how we can come up with an ensemble composition during the IRC 2022. There will also be some rhythms learning, approach to rhythms from Indian and western perspective and also how to apply rhythm melodically, next to lots of playing music. IRC will happen from July 11th - July 15th in Utrecht. Do follow the link hereunder to know more about this exciting week.
