Each installment of Ben's Tours takes you on a visit to a special place. This time join me as we cross the historic Soo Locks to explore Whitefish Island. In the shadow of the Canada - US border and surrounded by the St. Marys River, Whitefish Island might just be the true gem of Sault Ste. Marie ON. The Anishinaabe inhabited this land for centuries, fishing in the shallow rapids alongside the island, and I thank the Batchewana First Nation for hosting my visit on their traditional territory.
