Elbit Systems | Benny Gantz Takes Off at Flight School Opening Ceremony @elbitsystems | Uploaded October 2022 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
Head of SIBAT in the Israel Ministry of Defense, Hellenic Air Force Air Training Commander, and President & CEO of Elbit Systems participated in an event this morning marking the official "take-off" of the first flights at the international flight training center in Kalamata, Greece.
Defense Minister, Benny Gantz: “The International Flight School is a venture that reflects the deep and powerful bond between our countries and defense establishments - one that is based on shared values and interests, as well as many years of cooperation, which has a great impact on the East-Med region. It is a strategic investment in the future capabilities of our friends, which will further progress Greek ties with Israel and international partners.
I was pleased to speak today with my friend, the Greek Minister of Defense, and to emphasize that we will continue deepening our cooperation.
The flight school is also a testament to the advance and operational experience of Israel’s defense industries. I would like to thank Elbit Systems, the Ministry of Defense and the IDF for their roles in this important project.”
