Benedict Cumberbatch & Tilda Swinton explain where the hand gestures in "Doctor Strange" come from.
For those of you who don't know, I designed a hand gesture language for this film's magic activations. Every time you see magic, that's me. I took my own reimagining of tutting/fingertutting and ability activations I've seen in my favorite animes to build what The Ancient One calls "the source code that shapes reality". Stephane Ceretti brought it to life with the most visually stunning VFX I've ever seen in my life. Very proud of my team. We're in theaters November 4th!
