"An archival recording of a composition by the late Sammy Lawrence, the head songwriter for Joey Drew Studios. This recording was recovered by Archgate Pictures in 1971, and is supposedly the only known recording of this piece. Some speculation suggests this recording was made following his disappearance and presumed death in 19██, although there have been no firsthand accounts to confirm or deny these claims."

Confession time: this has been collecting dust in my folder for literal years. But hey, I guess that makes this feel more vintage, right? XD

This was something I made some few years ago out of the arrangement made by SquirrelHorse Music, who did a rough interpretation of the sheet music that Bendy and the Ink Machine provided. I had initially relearned how to read sheet music to copy the piano into GarageBand so that I could use a version with dynamics for a Bendy-themed Halloween display (only to learn after the fact that we did not have speakers to play the audio :\). But afterwards, I wanted to create a version of the track that Sammy Lawerence might have actually composed. Honestly really happy with how it came out.

In my head, this piece is Sammy’s magnum opus, maybe even the culmination of years of work before the madness took its toll on him. Something that invokes a feeling of wonder, yet something slightly somber underneath. Perhaps he wrote it about someone whom he used to be familiar with, but now finds unrecognizable.

Anyway, that'll be me for now. Got a lot of projects to get back to, and one new Bendy-related one to start, so stay tuned! ;)
