I’ve kept this for awhile because something didn’t sit right with me, so I went back over and over to change things… so I still can't tell exactly if it turned out the way I wanted it to... :P
But the main focus of this edit is to point out the interesting fact that they’re like a mirror image of each other. Just because they're on different sides of war doesn’t mean they are entirely different as well. In fact, they have a lot in common. I use the word kindred as an adjective, that they are similar, comparable. They share fighting tactics, childhood trauma, even their defiance. Especially their full out rage moments like oh lord jesus they’re scary. And now because of their force bond, their similarities are more prominent.

You can consider their power as a blessing and you can also consider it a curse. Blessing because it can come into use. Power is always useful. Curse because you have a slim chance to none empathizing with other people, and you make an easy target for manipulation. Snoke sees their raw power as a blessing, but they both mainly see it as a burden, a curse. What he sees is something special, but they suffer for it, which was what I was going for at the end of the edit, with the quote and all. Also, I can’t remember who but someone pointed out that the cave scene with Rey mirrored Ben’s scene toward the end of the movie, of them both kneeling, so I also wanted to capture that too as I did not notice it before.

Also what’s pretty hilarious is that they have that duo that sees them destroying shit and they're clearly done with it aka the space nuns and the stormtroopers.
