Hailing from Manchester (UK), Ben Pearce has spent many years promoting a successful night. Now in a new direction, he is focusing on production. His influences are drawn from far and wide, growing up with a love for heavy metal and rock music, he can take inspiration from anything: Hip Hop to Techno, Soul to Metal.
As a producer in his first year, he has already signed to labels both UK and international. His track 'What I Might Do' has proved very popular with support from Solomun, David August, Seth Troxler, Danny Daze, Tiger & Woods and more in the last few months.
With what might turn out to be one of the biggest tracks of the year, Chase & Status' MTA Records release the massive 'What I Might Do' by Ben Pearce; and with a host of remixes available, there really is something for everyone.
As well as a shortened 'Radio Edit', up first is the 'Club Mix' which builds gradually with
stripped back percussion, vocal murmurs and airy synths drifting in and out the mix. After a bassline is teased in a couple of times adding to the climax, the super soulful vocal is let rip to dramatic effect. This is going to be a guaranteed weapon in any DJ's bag in the coming months.
Harry Wolfman injects a bit of the old school into the original with a more jackin', housed up version characterised by lazy sub bass, shuffly highs and a postmodern organ line which has become so synonymous within the new house sound prevalent in the UK cene at present.
One Records boss Adam Shelton takes things a bit deeper with his interpretation. A dark kick, clave and snare pattern drive the rhythm section throughout whilst deep pads and piano chords juxtapose to create a really emotive piece, subsequently giving the vocal a new meaning.
Last but certainly not least, one half of PBR Streetgang, Bonar Bradberry rounds things off with a cut aimed straight for the dancefloor with its driving low end and distorted tom line. Creative use of the vocal and an ever-evolving acid line work wonderfully together
and give the track real drive and purpose.

After the summer 2012 smash Through The Night, Drumsound & Bassline Smith are back with their dancefloor filling new single One In A Million featuring the sensuous vocals of Fleur.
After a sensational 2012 ride, highlighted with two UK top 40 singles, What Can You Do For Me, a collaboration with Utah Saints and their own Radio 1 A-list track Through The Night. The single was a main support on the DJ Fresh Nextlevelism UK Tour plus presenting a Daily Dose show for BBC 1Xtra, a monthly feature on 1Xtra for MistaJam, the foundations for 2013 and One In A Million look rock solid.
The long awaited new single One In A Million will be released April 22nd. This future hit shows off where their strengths truly lie, making great music that appeals to the masses.
Hot new 22-year-old talent, Fleur, is fresh off vocal duties on DJ Freshs recent Nextlevelism tour, where she was introduced to DJ Freshs main support act, Drumsound & Bassline Smith. It was only a matter of time before the sparks flew and with such common musical tastes, it was the perfect match for the collaboration on One In A Million.
Remixes on One In A Million come from Tantrum Desire, Wideboys, Northern Lights, Tony Anthem & Axel Ender, Reset Safari and Dubba Jonny. Tantrum Desire deliver a more slamming dnb mix with dark basslines whilst Wideboys go for a big room, bassline house makeover. Reset Safari take the track back to 97 with deeper garage influences. Northern Lights serve up a bass-laden dubstep remix, Tony Anthem & Axl Ender go for a tough drumstep perspective and Dubba Jonny rounds the package off with a an epic trap vibe.")
