Andreessen Horowitz Co-Founder Ben Horowitz sat down with Anyscale Co-Founder Robert Nishihara to discuss the future of AI—and how learnings from the Internet boom could help us predict AI’s own trajectory. Horowitz shared how, like AI, the Internet had a proprietary vs open source battle, with an open model eventually winning. The question, he says, comes down to people and technology: is the technology good enough, and will someone step up to make it great?

Horowitz and Nishihara also discuss the ways the AI revolution is different from the Internet boom—in particular, Horowitz notes that the founders are much more research oriented, and the government is much more heavily involved in regulation.
