I started this a couple of days ago and I'm still not sure if I'm happy with the end result. Some of my masks seem a bit choppy and I was a bit lazy nearer the end. But it does look pretty and I really like the pairing, so that's the main thing!

Plot;
Belle and Kenai are somewhat acquaintances. He is known to her from the local town and Kenai within his Inuit village; the two civilisations living peacefully alongside each other but rarely interact. The two have never spoken.

*Side note*: I know the time periods and the inhabiting countries are slightly convoluted here; Kenai most certainly does not live in France but for the sake of this plot I have combined the two.

Kenai climbs a mountain in search for animals he may take back to his village for features such as food and pelts for warm clothing but upon reaching a lower peak he spots a body of water drifting in the air upon the highest peak and, intrigued, decides to investigate. Belle is known to be, though very intelligent, lacking in perception of her surroundings and finds herself lost after a long mid-afternoon stroll. She sees Kenai and decides to ask him to guide her back to her home but the magical events which transform Kenai occur, leaving Belle in an aghast state.
Cutting forward a few hours, Kenai awakens to see Belle hanging over him, tending to his delirious state. He explains that within his village it is seen as a terrible act to slaughter a bear but, due to the fact that his people required the meat, he had no other choice but to do so. It then dawns on Belle that the spirits will have transformed him due to this 'sin' and that he must plead forgiveness at the peak of the highest mountain, where it is said that the ghostly incarnations of the past dwell. Kenai becomes upset, for he never wanted to anger the spirits and that it was only his duty to care for his people. Belle notes his distress and reaches out her hand to comfort the bear, the small touch in act of reassurance for him. She also states that she will accompany him to the mountain, willfully prepared to travel the country despite the circumstances.

What follows is a form of 'montage' as to where they go, the conditions they experience and some form of relationship development. Belle grows very close to the bear and the pair are seen to be having a good time throughout their journey. That is until winter hits the country and a terrible snowstorm plunges the area into darkness and desolation, impossible to see in front of you. Belle finds herself lost in the storm and wanders the forest aimlessly, calling out for Kenai whom - though not far behind her - cannot see, hear or smell a trace of her.
Then, due to Belle's excessive shouting, wolves manage to spot her in the haze and creep up silently, before plunging into their attack.
Kenai hears Belle's wails of terror and begins to make his way desperately to find her... yet he is too late.
Consumed by grief Kenai begs the spirits to save her, giving up his humanity for her life. For he declares that he loves her with all his heart and that his humanity is worth far less than a the possibility that he may speak to her once again. The declaration was filled with such truth, such purity that the spirits grant him his wish.
Belle is raised into the air and with a breath of life transforms into a small sepia-coloured bear, similar to Kenai. She awakens, filled with love and gratitude. They are together once again.
