Government officials and the Inter-American Development Bank are laying the groundwork for a new program aimed at helping more Belizeans enter the workforce and improve their employment prospects. Representatives from the IDB, the ministries of Finance and Labour, and the Central Executing Unit opened a three-day planning workshop in Belmopan today. Chief Executive Officer Tanya Santos said successful implementation will require coordinated planning, clear responsibilities and strong management. She also recognized Labor Commissioner Rissela Dominguez Patt and the Labor Department for their work to improve employment services nationwide.
