Lila Anton was born and raised in the countryside of Shizuoka, Japan. Her native language growing up was Japanese as she went to Japanese elementary and middle school, but her parents are both from the United States. She is biracial as her mom is black, and her dad is white (Jewish). Here is her story on growing up in Japan and navigating identity in a country where she does not look like everyone else. Lila is currently working at Netflix Japan in Global Creative Marketing, and helped promote shows like "The Naked Director".
