What really goes on behind the scenes at Blackpool Pleasure Beach?
A week before the park opens for the season, I went onto one of their official Behind the Scenes tours to explore areas guests never normally get to see.
From 55,000 costumes inside Stageworx, to the maintenance bays of Alice in Wonderland and the Ghost Train… underneath the Steeplechase station… inside The Big One’s control systems… and into Icon’s stripped-down trains this was a rare look at the engineering, creativity and sheer hard work that keeps the park running.
Even though I’ve done this tour before, they switch things up each time and I saw completely different areas compared to last year.
