🎬 Fibre Film Club | Copyright, Planning & Can I Finish This Sock?!
Welcome back to Fibre Film Club — where we watch, learn, chat and, of course, usually have some yarn in our hands! 🧶🎬
This week we're doing something a little different and going behind the scenes of Fibre Film Club.
Putting together these episodes isn't quite as simple as finding an interesting film and pressing play. There are copyright rules to consider, research to do, images and footage to find, scripts and commentary to prepare — and sometimes an idea that sounds wonderful at first has to be completely rethought because of what I can and cannot legally show.
So today we're chatting about:
🎬 Copyright and Fibre Film Club — what are some of the issues I have to think about?
⚖️ What's allowed and what isn't?
🔎 Finding photographs, film clips and other material that I can actually use
📝 The research and planning that happens before you ever see an episode
💡 How I turn an idea into a Fibre Film Club topic
🧶 And some of the ideas I'd love to explore with you in future episodes.

You may recognise my gloriously bright pink and orange sock — but there's a problem.
It needs a partner!
So the question is:
Can I finish knitting the SECOND SOCK before Thursday at 9:30am Eastern US time?
The clock is ticking, the yarn is waiting, and I'm not entirely convinced I've left myself enough time. 😂
