A spectral woman, often seen on the staircase or in doorways, is believed to be a former guest or possibly Beatrice Shanley herself. Rumors suggest that the hotel once operated a secret brothel, where violence and untimely deaths may have occurred. A young girl named Rosie, believed to have fallen to her death in a nearby well, is said to play pranks on guests, moving objects and giggling in the halls.
