This is a video captured of a drive from Tampa to Siesta Key in March 2023, over a year before Hurricane Milton made landfall near Siesta Key on October 9, 2024. The total distance was about 70 miles. I drive south on Interstate 275 (I-275) towards St. Petersburg & Sarasota, traveling over the Howard Frankland and Sunshine Skyway Bridges. I then take exit 207 west to Siesta Key. The island is known for its stunning beaches, including Siesta Beach, which has been named the best beach in America by several travel publications.
