We took my Catalina 310 out for a classic beer can regatta — casual weeknight sailboat racing, good wind, good competition, and a great evening on the water.

There’s something special about beer can racing. It’s competitive enough to make you work the boat, but relaxed enough to remember why we all love sailing in the first place.
