Má vlast ("My homeland") is a set of six symphonic poems composed between 1874 and 1879 by the Czech composer Bedřich Smetana. Vltava is the most famous of them. Smetana here uses tone painting to evoke the sounds of one of Bohemia's great rivers. The easy piano arrangement presents the main theme of the symphonic poem.
