As a professional artist, I want to making paintings that show my vision and growth, as well as diversity and freshness. I started to identify themes in my work and as I realized how each image is connected, I've been able to see how free I am to explore, whether I'm focusing on a single reference image and abstracting and elaborating on it, or working with multiple references and finding connections between them.
Art is about connection and communication, and working those connections has been a powerful factor in helping me find my voice and style, while also experimenting to grow and create new works of art that expand what I am able to create and share.
