Beautiful summer flowers close up with butterflies, bees and birds singing.
Sunshine, blue skies, ice cream, picnics, flowers, butterflies, buzzing bees and birds chirping .. it must be summer.
Why have humans evolved to sense that some things are stunningly beautiful, regardless of their usefulness? And what makes summer flowers, in general, more beautiful than say, summer fruit? Are we attracted to flowers because we like bright colours? Or, are we attracted to bright colours because we like flowers?
I haven’t a clue. I’m sure there’s a scientific reason for it, and if you know why, then let me know in the comments below.
What I do know is, summer is here, the sun is shining, the flowers are out, and it’s blooming marvellous.
