Beautiful Dreamer is a lovely song written by Stephen Foster in the mid 1800’s. Here is my version played on the Violin! I hope you enjoy it! If you like this video, please subscribe for more! =)
My Grandma mentioned that this was her favorite song. It’s such a pretty song! I hope I do it justice! It is a song commonly played in music boxes, so I tried to add an accompaniment that sounds sort of similar to a music box.
I really like the lyrics to this song. They are so calming and make me think of a time when everyone tried to be fancy and proper. (Perhaps I just watch too many movies..) It is a sentimental song about a lover singing out to a “Beautiful Dreamer.” Sometimes I wonder if the song was written from the perspective that the Beautiful Dreamer was no longer alive..that would really change the song's feeling to me.

Stephen Foster wrote many many beautiful songs. I love the melodies that he came up with -- I want to play more of his music soon!
For some reason I was really nervous making this video. I need to work on being more comfortable in front of the camera. Hopefully the nerves don't show too much!
