How does this work?
This strategy has multiple names like Oneshot, Divide By Zero Cycle, and Dragon Insta-Kill. A simple way to explain this is the dragon causes knockback on the player. This knockback in extreme cases can accelerate an arrow over 400 b/s velocity. Since arrow damage is correlated to its velocity, this is enough speed to kill the dragon instantly if done correctly.

FAQ:
Q: Didnt Rayoh get a 1:55.3?
A: I actually thought so at first but the FWR is actually 1:55.342 not 1:55.3. It only appears so because Rayoh uses a single decimal point instead of three.
Q:Why are you using the same seed?
A: This is a set seed speedrun, I can set the seed and get the same world every time, this category is completely separate from random seed speedruns.
Q: How is there so much obsidian in the chest, you must be cheating! / How do you know the stronghold/gravel is there?
A: Thats one of the purposes of set seed (SSG). You can check out the seed in the description on 1.17 and see for yourself.
Q: How did you build the 2nd portal so quick?
A: My main method of clicking for the 2nd portal is drag clicking hence I can build it very quickly. It isnt any easier than doing it by clicking normally although its much faster. I normal click the 1st portal.
Q: You just watched a video and said it was yours/ you took someone elses run I saw this before
A: You most likely have seen someone run this seed as it is the fastest seed possible to beat minecraft. This does not mean I took anyones videos, set seed speedrunning will look similar to other people who run the same seed.
Q: You faked the inputs / You used tools to do this run
A: You can check out my channel and you can see that Im a long term SSG runner and Ive done tens of thousands of resets on the same seed.
Q: The end is rigged, you were using cheats.
A: No it was not, Ive done SSG for a very long time and it requires thousands of resets and many days of practice to get a good time let alone world record.
Q: Is this a TAS?
A: No it is not, its a verifiable real run.
Q: Is the end portal glitched, why is it like that?
A: Essentially eye count is decided for each chunk of the portal room, so if the portal room intersects more than one chunk, potentially if the chunk considers the portal as a 12 eye, it will be split off resulting in the portal looking glitched but its not considered as that as its natural generation. Just like how sometimes you can see floating snow or sand which isnt intended but its naturally generated. Portal rooms are just a more extreme example as they are much more rare.
Q: Is this the same video as the one in your school video?
A: No it was not. This was streamed in my twitch channel and used a PC to play.
Q: Why do you have 2 Minecrafts in the corner?
A: This is called multi-instancing where we use multiple instances of Minecraft at once to get better reset efficiency due to the high amount of resets required.

Took about 3 streams and probably 12+ hours of gameplay just to hit the 4 bed zero cycle only once... Nice.
What is Icarus?
Icarus is a modded category in where the player is spawned in with an elytra and a stack of duration 3 fireworks.
Note: The elytra sound kept playing during the end due to a bug in where the sound would continuously play if you enter the end dimension in the elytra state.

A: Not currently, but I just simply converted a 1.17 world into 1.16 since they used the same generation for the most part.

A: The 4th cobblestone went into the nether portal which made it look like I magically just got 4, but instead it was inaudibly picked up in the nether portal.
