Samantha Netherland, an honor student, who was preparing for her upcoming prom, and her mom Kathy Hardin Netherland. a well liked special education teacher, were at home around 8pm near Bardstown, in Nelson County, Kentucky when someone came to the door and murdered the two.
A photo of a car seen in the area was the only clue police ever seemed to have.
Years later the case is still unsolved.
