Beastars is something completely unique in the anime world, realism. It bases anthropomorphic animals and gives them real human emotions, problems, and politics. Legoshi is particularly unique in that his carnivore status mixed with his kind and empathetic heart is heavily entwined with the topic of privilege. But it's not just Legoshi, Haru and Louis, really every character resembles some sociopolitical position. It's something new, and it's worth checking out.
