Beast of Reincarnation is Game Freak’s new post-apocalyptic action RPG, and after spending over 40 hours with the game between us and finishing the full story, it genuinely surprised us.

The parry-focused combat and Koo’s companion abilities are easily some of its biggest strengths, alongside a strange post-apocalyptic world and fantastic soundtrack. But limited enemy variety, repetitive progression and some underwhelming story presentation stop its more ambitious ideas from reaching their full potential.

In this review, we break down the combat, story, exploration, visuals, PC performance and our overall thoughts after seeing Beast of Reincarnation through to the end.
