If the early game is fighting you, it is almost always the setup rather than your skill. This is the full early power build for Beast of Reincarnation: the weapon to go get, where to find it, the spirit stones worth slotting, the charms that actually matter, and the consumables to keep on you.
Stay on the right hand side of the map and you will find nearly everything here. Get the Mechblade and enhance it immediately, because its effect procs on a successful parry and you will be parrying constantly. Then pick up the chapter one chest piece for defense and start filling your sockets. Fortitude and Momentum are the ones I would prioritise, with Homing Shot if you use ranged as much as I do. On charms, take the one that matches how you actually fight rather than the one with the biggest number.
Four extras at the end most guides skip: how Elemental Afflict and Resist decide which bottle to throw, the sword whose enhancement gives you up to 1.5x amber from every kill, the Spirit Stone Duplication option that stays locked so long most people never notice it, and the bond track sitting on your dog's page.
