When only one side of a confrontation fears and respects the other as a threat, an attack is likely coming.
Bear attacks are really up this year from all the headlines. The attacks include Grizzly and Black Bears with most being Grizzly.
Attacks are caused by many things but in my humble opinion many of the attacks are caused by loss of fear of humans caused by national
protections on Grizzly for so long that the bears have lost a fear of humans. Often, even if a bear is harmed in self defense, the victim is looked at as at fault. Controlled hunting is good, Fear is good, for both the bears and human longevity. Just my 2 cents.
