Shoutout to YT user Lil Boulder- his recent cover of this song reminded me I had started working on this about a year ago and never finished it.. So I've been inspired to revisit it and finally finish it, and here we are!
This remix takes on somewhat of a surf rock and punk rock vibe, as the song was actually already written somewhat in this style on the GBA. I went ahead and fleshed it out a bit, including a few genre switches mid-song, some extra harmony parts here and there, and a generous dose of accentuations and little solo riffs.
As a whole, Sonic Battle was a really neat little game in my opinion, and it often gets forgotten about and overlooked. It's not the most solid game, and certainly doesn't have the best plot or writing, but I sure did enjoy it when I first got my hands on it many moons ago.
