In today's video, we're taking a look at Be Quiet's highly regarded Pure Base 500DX. For the case temperatures. build experience and everything you need to know about this case, you've come to the right place!

For all case thermal testing, this test bench system features an Intel Core i5 12600K with all P cores overclocked to 4.5ghz at 1.250v for a 150 watt power load under multicore workloads. Cooling the CPU is a Noctua NH-D15 Chromax Black. This is then paired with an EVGA RTX 3060 Ti Gaming XC with a fixed fan speed of 70%. Finally both components are installed in the MSI Mag Z690 Tomahawk WiFi DDR4 ATX motherboard and powered by a Be Quiet Pure Power 11FM 750w ATX power supply. All tests are run at 40dba noise normalised (Measured 20 inches away from the system) with an ambient noise floor of 32.6dba and a controlled room temperature of 21 degrees celcius. To better compare with other cases, a round of standardised case fan testing is run with 2 Corsair ML140 Pro fans for intake and 1 Corsair ML120 Pro as an exhaust. This is not the most optimal configuration but this provides a positive pressure set up that is highly replicable across most ATX cases. All tests are run for a 20 minute duration to ensure components reach a temperature equilibrium.
