#BeOutThere #WeCareThanWeAre store.vitchelo.com
I just clocked out of work. The job isn’t that bad and after college, I don’t think I could've hoped for better. I got the job, family and home. But, as usual, something is always missing, right?
I mean it's not my fault. I’m cooped up in an office all week, in the car, in the house - who created these walls anyway? I just want a little change, a little fresh air. Isn’t it natural to want some freedom? To be outside, nowhere and everywhere, out in the open where no walls and no stress hold me into slavery?
Sorry, I got a little carried away there. My name is Bob and I'm 47 years old. Just like you, Monday-Friday I got stuck in the 9-5 grind. I'm that guy in front of you with the 'I’d rather be' bumper sticker. Yes! I’d rather be hiking, swimming, trekking, camping, paragliding, bundled up with my family by my side around a campfire, anywhere but the city.
It’s in my blood. What can I say? My dad used to take us outdoors while growing up. I wouldn’t call it my life’s calling, but it’s what completes me and balances me. There are a lot of things that I like to do for my family. But, this is one thing that I do for myself, where I reconnect with myself. Funny enough, I don’t mind sharing this passion with my family. I would love for them to see how safe, fulfilling and liberating the outdoors can be.
In the end, I guess we are just the same, you and I. We work hard but look forward to playing hard too. Life, work, and time may get in the way. But, we never give up on that next three-day weekend, it’s our next big chance to do it, to break free and get out here and do what we love. No, we never give up trying.
