This is an easy recipe for fall-off-the-bone, sweet, and smoky barbecue ribs made in the oven, any time of the year.
INGREDIENTS
2 racks pork baby back ribs
kosher salt
Rub:
½ cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons black pepper
2 tablespoons garlic powder
2 tablespoons onion powder
4 teaspoons paprika
4 teaspoons chili powder
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
Sauce:
1 ½ cups ketchup
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon hot sauce (or to taste)
PROCEDURE
1. Preheat oven to 325 F.
2. Line your baking sheet with foil (for easy cleanup). Arrange the ribs with its meaty side up. They will have to be completely covered with foil while baking.
3. Generously salt both sides, depending on the thickness of the meat. Let it sit for a few minutes and absorb all the salt while preparing the rub.
4. In a bowl, combine the ingredients for the rub. Apply a good and even coating of the rub on both sides.
5. Bake in the oven for 2-3 hours, until falling off the bone (or to your preference).
6. Combine the ingredients for the sauce in a bowl. Remove the ribs from the oven and slather a good amount of sauce on each side.
7. Increase the oven temperature to 425 F. Bake the ribs for another 15 minutes, uncovered, to caramelize and lightly char the top.
8. Let it cool before cutting and enjoy!
