I could say more about the 1% pay offer for health care staff in the UK but time does not allow. If you are interested you can search "fair pay for nurses" which will take you to the RCN campaign. I don't agree with everything the RCN asks for, but I do agree that without valuing these professions significantly more, the government is continuing to undermine the system that we have, exacerbating staff burnout and staffing shortages both of which affect patient safety.
