Just the ability of blocking Whittingham Bayonetta’s Bullets by merely staring at her was so nostalgic because that sound effect is burned into my brain from watching it so many times back then. That tactic probably gave enough time for Viola to escape or be transported.

Aesir was probably afraid of these tier of Gods he needed to resort to taking the Eyes of the World back to have a fighting chance, which is one of my favourite theories about him - like he wasn’t just a megalomaniac - he was looking at the bigger picture.
We can get a nice rendition of the form of this figure, by looking at the similarities of the Homunculli version that popstar Bayo was fighting.
The glowing orb, the hanging cape, their ‘wings’, jetpack, idk satellite dish, whatever it is behind them - the only difference is that the Homunculi one is attached to a larger body.
One thing that REALLY made me a little sus was the red cracks that appeared within Whittingham Bayonetta - I know it looks just like the typical ‘my soul is ripping apart’ type of trope, but with the combination of the crystallisation upon her death I think there is something much more deeper is going on. So keep this in mind!
