The Bavarian Inn Lodge in Michigan recently unveiled its highly anticipated indoor water park expansion—Bavarian Blast—which opened in March 2025, bringing even more family fun to this beloved destination. Spanning over 140,000 square feet, it is now the largest indoor water park in Michigan and one of the biggest in the Midwest.
This $80 million expansion marks the seventh phase of development since the German-themed hotel and water park first opened in 1986. It features 16 water slides, a lazy river, wave pool, adult-only swim-up bar, and private cabanas, offering year-round fun for guests of all ages.
We’re thrilled to be part of this milestone, contributing to 16 exciting new water slides—including some of our classics like the Python, Constrictor, Parallel Pursuit and Pool Sider. Even more unique are the themed experiences that bring Bavarian culture to life.
Themed with vibrant Bavarian charm, Bavarian Blast includes slides coming off of a cuckoo clock tower, a ramp slide adorned with a goldfish wearing an alpine hat, and Life Floor tiles in the blue and white checkered pattern of the Bavarian state flag.
This expansion is a testament to the growing demand for indoor water parks, offering families an immersive, weatherproof getaway full of fun, creativity, and tradition.
